The City of Garland is consolidating its Warming Center Operations to Holford Recreation Center, due to consistently higher usage at that location. This will allow City resources to more effectively meet additional needs in the community. Holford Recreation Center is located at 2314 Homestead Pl., Garland TX 75043, 972-205-2772.
Everyone will be screened for COVID and masks must be worn. Due to the large volume of needs throughout our entire community, we cannot currently accommodate pets.
Our warming center will remain open until further notice. We will have some cots available and a limited amount of snacks and drinks. Bring blankets, non-perishable snacks, bottled waters, phone chargers and any essential medicines or other supplies you might need.
The center is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No pre-registration is required.
We are aware of other warming centers or shelters open in Garland. These are subject to change. Please verify with these locations before venturing out:
