The Garland Chamber of Commerce has received $500,000 to assist smaller businesses in Garland. This funding has been allocated towards the city’s CRF Business Assistance Program from the recent federal CARES Act.
Grants can be used to reimburse business losses due to COVID-19. If a business has experienced interruptions since March as a result of closures and/or decreased demand, they may be eligible for assistance.
Applications are available as of July 13, 2020; and the deadline to apply is August 7, 2020. Grants between $5,000 and $20,000 will be awarded to businesses with 20 or fewer employees. If there is over 75% of funding left over by August 14, 2020, businesses with 21 to 50 employees may apply.
