
PHASE 1 REOPENING - PARKS, RECREATION AND CULTURAL ARTS
May 1, 2020 - The following closures and guidelines are in place at Garland parks and recreation facilities.
If you choose to go to the park, please plan accordingly and continue to comply with physical distancing guidelines of a minimum of 6 feet from anyone not in your household. In addition, please comply with all City, County, State, and Federal guidelines, which include but are not limited to, wash your hands; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; cover your mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze, and stay home if you feel sick.
Open:
* Parks & Trails
* Audubon Disc Golf Courses - no more than 4 participants playing at a time.
* Outdoor Tennis Courts - no more than 4 participants playing at a time.
Closed:
* All Athletic Game Fields
* Park Restrooms
* Aquatic Facilities
* Recreation Centers
* Senior Centers
* Granville Performing Arts Center, which includes the Atrium and the Plaza Theatre;
* Landmark Museum
* City-hosted Special Events; other events requiring City assistance, through the month of May.
Remember, senior meals will only be picked up at Garland Activity Center. Any new seniors wishing to participate in the meal program, please call Garland Senior Activity Center, 972-205-2769, 600 W. Avenue A, Garland, TX 75040.
