Data will now include the total number of reported Garland cases, and a breakdown of the number of active cases, recovered cases, and deaths. The updated numbers are posted on the Garland Health Department (GHD) COVID-19 Information page each afternoon after 2 p.m. Check the Dallas County website for county-wide updates.

After a resident of Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living Homes in Garland tested positive for COVID-19 the facility requested state assistance to test all residents and staff. The state of Texas deployed a testing team Friday, June 26 and sampled all staff and residents. Results received by the Garland Health Department July 2 indicate four residents and six staff members are positive for COVID-19.
