Other updates:

After a resident of Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living Homes in Garland tested positive for COVID-19 the facility requested state assistance to test all residents and staff. The state of Texas deployed a testing team Friday, June 26 and sampled all staff and residents. Results received by the Garland Health Department July 2 indicate four residents and six staff members are positive for COVID-19.

The Garland Health Department has remained in contact with Mayberry Gardens management throughout this ordeal and will continue to provide support in the form of advice and personal protective equipment. The positive staff members are excluded from the facility until they are medically cleared. The facility management has implemented appropriate control measures including, but not limited to, isolating positive residents, daily temperature and symptom monitoring of all staff and residents, limiting resident movement within the facility and excluding visitors.

Additional testing locations are available in Garland. Check the COVID-19 Facts & Resources page for details. Other pages include updates related to City services and facilities, recovery resources, information specifically for businesses, and fraud/scam information.
